Plan types

Three ways to get Medicare coverage.

Most people choose between a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan, a Medicare Advantage plan, or a stand-alone Part D drug plan. We help you compare all three — and explain how they can work together.

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

Pairs with Original Medicare to help pay deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. Often best for people who want the broadest access to doctors and hospitals.

Medicare Advantage
(Part C)

All-in-one plans that often include medical, hospital, and drug coverage, plus extras like dental, vision, and hearing. Best for people who are comfortable with networks.

Part D
Prescription Drug plans

Stand-alone prescription plans that can be paired with Original Medicare and a Medigap plan. We compare your medications across multiple carriers to find a good fit.

What about DSNP (Dual Special Needs Plans)?

If you have both Medicare and Medicaid, you may qualify for a Dual Special Needs Plan (DSNP). These plans can offer extra benefits like dental, vision, hearing, transportation, and over-the-counter allowances — often with little or no premium. We’ll help you check your eligibility and compare DSNP options in your county.

Turning 65

Your seven-month window starts before your birthday.

If you're approaching 65, the most important thing to understand is your Initial Enrollment Period. It's a seven-month window — and missing it can mean permanent penalties or gaps in coverage. We walk you through what to do, and when, so you can enroll with confidence.

3 months before

We review your doctors, prescriptions, and current coverage, then map out your options.

Your birthday month

We finalize your plan choice and submit your application so coverage starts on time.

3 months after

We double-check your ID cards, drug coverage, and answer any questions once you’re settled.
